James “Jimmy” Maurice Glickman, died early Thursday morning, January 14, 2016 at the age of 52. Born and raised in Chicago, Jimmy left Illinois in the 1980’s to seek his destiny and found his home in the Crescent City. Long a lover of music, and one time bassist in his high school rock band Citadel, Jimmy founded The New Orleans Music Exchange in 1993. Since then he has brought music to thousands of school children and religious communities though various charitable efforts. Jimmy is survived by his parents, Myron and Benita Glickman, his children, Jonathan and Nicole (mother, Patricia Glickman) and Simi (mother, Nicole Watson) and his brothers, Michael (Andrea) and Steven (Laurel), not to mention a large crew of nephews, nieces, friends, and customers. Chapel service, Tuesday, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
